Huge number, 8140 of Ureteroscopies (endoscopic removal of stone from ureter without any incision) has been performed with very good results, percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) surgeries of around 2457 which involve endoscopic removal of kidney stone through a small 1.5 cm incision, prostate surgeries –TURP 3,260 and bladder cancer – TURBT – 550.
A Limca book record of endoscopic removal of 451 stones from single kidney by endoscopic method was achieved by Dr Chougule of a financially very poor and complicated patient.
